Being on the waitlist is a measu , You you don't get off wait-list pass the add/drop ddl you'll be automatically dropped from the wl. Usually if your WL position is within 10-15% of the class size you have a good chance to get in, except lab and writing classes. Almost no one drops lab or wiring classes. You only have a slim chance if you're #1 on the wl.
